French Court Orders Magazine To Pay €100,000 Over Kate Topless Pics

The court also ordered Closer magazine’s editor and owner to each pay 45,000 euros ($53,000) in fines, the maximum possible. Singer Beyonce and actor George Clooney will headline a telethon to raise funds for the victims of Hurricane Harvey, which has displaced more than 1 million people in Texas, organizers said on Tuesday. “Hand in Hand,” a Benefit for Hurricane Harvey Relief, will air live on September 12 from Los Angeles, New York and Nashville on broadcast networks ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC as well as cable music channel CMT and digital platforms Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. The broadcast, which will air live on the U.S. East Coast at 8 p.m. EDT (midnight GMT) and replay on the West Coast at 8 p.m. PST, will include musical performances, taped messages. An exclusive investigative report has revealed the untold story of the deal that gave birth to the peaceful release of 21 Chibok school girls by Boko Haram group on Thursday. The release of 21 Chibok girls by the terrorist Boko Haram group Thursday was the culmination of more than two years of negotiation and perseverance by a team which first assembled about two years ago. The key actors who first initiated the process made their initial attempt to rescue the girls around July 2014, during the Goodluck Jonathan administration, but that effort floundered in the last minutes. The initial team comprised Shehu Sani, now a senator; rights activist, Fred Eno; a lawyer, Mustapha Zanna; the Nigerian Army, then led by Kenneth Minimah; the Swiss government; and the International Committee of the Red Cross, which was called in to play a neutral intermediary role.
